Remofirst Named to Newsweek’s List of the Top 200 America’s Most Loved Workplaces for 2024

October 2, 2024

At Remofirst, we’ve won a few awards over the years, but the ones that always feel the most meaningful are those tied to how our employees feel about Remofirst as an employer.

We were recently named to Newsweek’s list of the Top 200 America’s Most Loved Workplaces® for 2024 — an honor determined solely by employee survey feedback — claiming the 129th spot.

Companies that made the list earned high marks for putting respect, caring, and appreciation for their employees at the center of their business model. Basically, creating a workplace that employees love.

More than 2.6 million employees were surveyed from businesses ranging from small businesses with less than 50 employees to enterprise-level companies with more than 10,000.

Some of the questions employees responded to included how workers feel about their future at the company and how they perceive their employer’s values aligning with their own.

Other criteria included employees’ views on:

  • Respect at all levels of the organization
  • Level of collaboration
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • A sense of belonging
  • Career development opportunities
  • Company leadership

When Volod and I started this company, we wanted to help companies employ talent without borders. But our other goal was to create a world-class company culture.

As a global remote company, we place a high value on ensuring employees feel connected. One way we encourage our staff to connect is by using Donut, which randomly matches employees every few weeks. Once a pair matches, they schedule a 30-minute meeting to chat and get to know each other.

We see this as an essential part of our culture, especially since our employees are based in more than 20 countries. Unless they work in departments that regularly interact with each other, they might never otherwise connect.

In case you want to know the nitty-gritty details, here’s how the survey feedback is gathered and scored:

  • 50% of the initial score was based on direct employee responses to BPI’s Love of Workplace Index® assessment.
  • 35% came from BPI’s direct interviews and written responses from company officials.
  • The final 15% was derived from analysis of external public ratings from sites such as Comparably, Careerbliss, Glassdoor, Indeed, and Google.

Newsweek then conducted editorial research on every company before the final list of 200 companies and their rankings was completed.

We’re humbled by this honor and will continue to do our best to make Remofirst a place where our employees feel valued, respected, and heard.
